Structures of Conditional Perfect

Let's first have a look at the structure of the Conditional Perfect in terms of the various grammatical moods (indicative, interrogative, imperative) and in terms of polarity (positive and negative).

WOULD + HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE (V3)

Positive Structures
indicative She would have realised.
indicative contracted (1) He'd have known.
indicative contracted (2) They would've come
interrogative Would you have cooked?
imperative NOT APPLICABLE

Negative Structures
indicative I would not have called.
indicative contracted (1) You wouldn't have understood.
interrogative Would they not have eaten?
interrogative contracted Wouldn't she have studied?
imperative NOT APPLICABLE
